Crimppi serves customers in diverse industries such as renewable energy, electricity and energy industry, pharmaceutical equipment field, and rail transport. The company is known for its strong commitment to quality, sustainability, and long-term partnerships, operating internationally with manufacturing sites in Finland, China, Latvia and Croatia.

Background
Crimppi adopted the Jakamo platform to centralize supplier communication and data management. The goal was to streamline collaboration, enhance supply chain transparency, and free up time for more strategic supplier relationship management.

Fast and smooth implementation
The decision to implement Jakamo was made at the end of 2024, and by April the platform was fully embedded into Crimppi’s purchasing processes. Thanks to Jakamo’s onboarding support, the rollout — including integrations, data setup, and training for both employees and suppliers — was completed seamlessly.

Automation replaces manual work
Previously, purchase orders were sent as PDF attachments via email, and confirmations or changes were managed manually. With Jakamo, the entire order and confirmation process is automated: orders are sent through the platform, suppliers confirm, and buyers are notified only if something changes. This eliminates repetitive email exchanges and frees up valuable time for competitive sourcing, supplier relationship development, and customer response management. Even during holidays, substitutes can step in smoothly without disruptions.

Visibility into supplier sustainability
Jakamo also supports sustainability management. Suppliers can upload certifications and environmental documentation directly in the platform. This makes it easy to verify compliance and ensure that purchases are made from certified partners only. Over time, the system also enables data collection on raw material responsibility, such as conflict minerals or restricted substances, paving the way to calculate product carbon footprints (Scope 3 emissions).

Shared real-time information
Jakamo provides a shared space where all both parties, customer and supplier, see the same data simultaneously. Purchase orders and requests are transparent and traceable, reducing the risk of missed information in email inboxes. If one buyer is absent, another can take over instantly without losing track.

Jakamo is more than a digital tool — it enables Crimppi’s strategy to be executed in day-to-day operations. By improving process efficiency, ensuring traceability, and embedding sustainability into procurement, Crimppi strengthens its role as a trusted partner in the electrical and electronics industry.
